Ep.1: History of Cataract Surgery

I have always been fascinated with surgical procedures in their present forms. Imagine what it took to conceive anastomosing the saphenous vein to the coronary arteries, parachuting artificial valves down sutures into place or placing artificial lenses to replace cataracts.

This took me down a rabbit hole, researching milestones in surgical procedures and techniques. I decided to start with the history of Cataract surgery, in which India plays a major role (Credit to Maharshi Sushruta in 600BC)
